Finally finally!! I have to tell someone or I might explode 🤰
I can't believe my time has come to say I'm pregnant again after my last pregnancy 15 years ago. I've been trying to get another child from 2014 and it has finally happened...Only the good Lord Jesus knows how hard my journey was bfn after bfn. Nothing happens before it should and now is the right time. It has been a tortuous experience but I'm getting my miracle now.
Here goes the interesting part. In November I changed by gyn/ob bcaz it seemed like I wasn't getting anywhere with my first. He told me to get a hsg exam done which I did in December and it came back normal. He told to do some fertility tests as well which came back with me having low progesterone which meant I wasn't ovulating but I don't have PCOS. I also did a pelvic exam a year prior which also came back normal. January 1 I had my period which was a week early however it even got more strange it was heavy with a lot of clots. I had heavy bleeding for days and I started to blame the hsg procedure which I did 2 weeks earlier anyhow I went back to the dr and he prescribed a pill for the bleeding and 3 months supply of Clomid 100mg. The pill didn't completely stop the bleeding only mitigated it but when the pills were finished I started bleeding heavily again so I had to go back to him and he then prescribed 2 months worth of bcp. He said whenever I finished the bcp start taking the clomid but come back for an examination when the bleeding subsides.
Well I didn't go back for a check up nor did I use the 2nd month of pills only took the bcp for 1 month all bcaz I wanted to give myself enough time to take the clomid and get pregnant to have a 2019 baby. The bcp seemed to regulate my cycle so as soon as my period came in February I took the clomid on the 3rd to 7th day of my cycle. Didn't get pregnant, didn't even get a +ve opk, came close but it didn't get there. My cycle lasted 28 days. Only symptom was sore breast for almost 2 weeks.
Second cycle was when the clomid started to show it's TRUE colours. I also got O cramps and a +ve opk on CD 14 and 15. I The only symptom I didn't have was sore breasts, I had all other symptoms you can think of but my period still came on 15dpo. My 3rd cycle was shorter it 27 days long however this month the symptoms was less severe even my period was different. I had just 1 heavy day with much less clots than usual. It lasted the 5 days as expected.
Sigh... fast forward to fertile week for my first month after clomid. Decided I was gonna take a 2 month break then go back to doctor to get a new prescription maybe for a higher dose because obviously 100mg didn't do the trick. Was worried about getting cyst also. Bare in mind I still was peeing more than usual and I had nausea periodically even after I started my period. Didn't take it as anything just thought I still had the clomid and progesterone in my system so I blew it off.
Hmm... On Monday CD12 I took an opk I realised that the test line came up as I dipped it in the pee but by the the time had lapse it got lighter than the control so I said no peak. I've been getting the same reaction every day from the opks and the same results. The lines are identical on all 10 opks from Monday to now, no change in shade. I started to feel real nauseous Tuesday as if I was gonna spill my guts on the floor but I didnt. The bathroom visits and stomach issues with bowel movements( sorry for tmi) became more frequent now that is unlike me especially this time of the month.
Yesterday I decided to take the 1 hpt I had left for an occasion like this because I'm saying something must be wrong this is not like me. I took it using smu and a very faint line came up in 2 minutes but I didn't believe it it was too faint. I bought 2 more tests I took 1 earlier tonight and it's still a faint positive but it seems like I am pregnant but when did I get pregnant? It could not be from this cycle because I'm now on cd16. I'm worried it's an ectopic pregnancy I pray it's not but where was this baby during the heavy bleeding. Oh God I'm really nervous!
I apologise for this long story but I had to tell it to someone. Just a handful of persons know that I've been struggling with this issue. Thanks for reading
