Gas cramps that feel like period cramps??

So tonight I was hanging with my friend and watching a movie and suddenly I started having really bad cramps. I was sitting in a recliner so my friends told me to roll on my side. I seriously began to think I could be miscarrying because of the intensity. So I went into the bathroom to make sure I wasn’t bleeding, no blood. So I headed home and used my fetal Doppler to make sure I could find his heartbeat, there he was! So I also began passing some gas and figured that must be what’s causing all this ruckus!! Anyone else get terrible gas cramps down low?? It’s quite frightening 😩
