Do you think it's necessary to go to college??

I know so many different opinions on this, some say you should go to college to better your future some say they could get just as good of a job without College?? Some people that went to college feel that it was a waste of money and so on..
My question is what do you think? Do you think after high school it's very important to go to college?? Why or why not

It depends on what you want to do. Every field is different. For my husband it was all on the job training. I’m a nurse so yes, college was necessary.

It was very important to me. I know I wouldn’t be satisfied if my education ended after high school! I wanted to better myself and my future

Obviously it would depend if you wanted a specific job. I went to college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. I now do something totally unrelated to my field. My husband did not graduate college and makes twice as much as I do. He could make more if he had a degree or at least some specific certifications though.

Nope. I haven't, my mum hasn't and we both have successful businesses.
My boyfriend went to Uni, hasn't got a proper job and the job he does have isn't at all related to what he has a degree in.
I think it means nothing to be honest.

I did,  but I do not belive that is everyone's path. If I had my life to do over, I'd be an electrician not a clinical psychologist.

It was important for me. It got me a lot of opportunities for my career and my dream to live in France 😊 sure you can get an au pair visa but a lot of programs/jobs especially when relocating here required at least a bachelor’s degree 🤔 
I think it really depends on what you want to do! And it depends what you’re paying. Luckily financial aid at my school was lit and I owe fewer loans at my private uni than my friends who went to state schools. I think if you leave college and are in crazy debt and can’t necessarily find work, it can feel like a huge waste

If you want to have a decent life with a decent job, yes, a degree is necessary. If your goal in life is to work at McDonald's, then no.

Was meant to press yes. Here in England, you have to stay in education until you’re 18, so yes, you have to go to college
