Cramping

So today I had a couple of very small and very short (only for a second) sharp cramps in my lower right back and around my left side in stomach. I'm assuming that because I had them only for a second and they weren't enough to really say I felt very much pain, that this is just part of the early pregnancy cramping. I called my doctor in case but they haven't gotten back to me. Has anyone else had this?(Note: no vaginal bleeding has occurred and I feel totally fine now. The two cramps were an hour apart)
