Can my 7 month old have cream of chicken soup?

I’m nervous to just give him a piece of chicken. If that’s how you even do it. And I don’t want to use the meat jar baby foods. I plan of pureeing some chicken, but was wondering if I can give him a little cream of chicken soup.

Yes, he can have anything except honey and obvious choking hazards like nuts.

Yeah he can, but I would be really careful about the amount of salt that’s in soups. It’s too much for babies!
If you’re nervous maybe look into baby lead weaning (blw). We did it with my daughter and it’s amazing!

I found cooking it in the crockpot made it super tender for LO, then I just shredded it up fine and he could grab & eat bits.

Try pureed porkchop. I found it crumbled nicer than chicken. You can also freeze it for later after pureeing it.

I wouldn’t at 7 months. Too much salt. We did ground meat at first. Beef was a little tough but ground turkey was better. I think he was 9 months when he started handling it better. I tried at 8 and decided it was too soon. A seven month old doesn’t need meat if yours isn’t ready yet.
