Baby getting sick? Seems off

My baby has been crabby lately, wants to be in mommy’s arms. He has a runny nose, doesn’t have much of an appetite. I have yet to check his temp, debating on taking him to the ER? And now he’s been napping for 2 hours, which is unusual of him.
He’s 4 months.

I would only take him a. If he had a temp and b. If your doctor advises you to do so. As someone else wrote, they are usually pretty dismissive unless there is a major issue. It could be a waste of your time. I would just call your PCP and see what they recommend.

I think the ER is usually very dismissive when it’s a first time mom bringing a baby in for the sniffles, they either won’t give them anything or they will tell you something over the counter. If you can keep your baby hydrated, rest is the most curative thing you can do vs being exposed to the germs of an ER.

It could be early teething or growing pains. Go with your gut though if you feel like you need to go to the ER do it better safe than sorry.
