Thoughts on doulas?
I swear I posted this but it looks gone. Forgive me if it’s a repeat. My first birth was pretty typical- my husband supported me while I was induced for 10 hours and then I took an epidural for my vaginal birth. Second time around- I find I am most worried about my two year old during the birthing event. We are military family = far from our own friends and family. I kind of would rather my hubs stay with our daughter during my labor, and maybe I can just hire a doula to keep me company. I’m not looking for specific non traditional care (non medicated, massage, placenta encapsulation etc). I just want a calm experienced female around. Any input on this train of thought?
