a guy wants to hang out with me but i have a boyfriend

so i recently started talking to a guy that goes to my school, like started becoming friends (i have been dating this other guy for a few weeks now). he texted me today asking me if i wanted to hang out. he hasn’t ever really flirted with me or anything that shows that he like likes me. we just text and snapchat a lot, but how do i know if he just wants to be friends and doesn’t like me? no one really knows about me and my boyfriend because i don’t really post anything about our relationship on social media. and i don’t want to be one of those girls that are like “i hAvE a bOYfriEnD” especially if he only wants to be friends...plz help
