What to eat before getting induced

Question

I'm being induced tonight at 7pm. What should I eat leading up to tonight?

Have a proper meal and have something that'll give you lots of energy as a dessert. I would have some dates too as they are meant to help shorten labour time - I've started to eat a few starting yesterday, but I wish I had started sooner! I'm currently 39 weeks

Something that will keep you going. I dot induced and because I had to stay the night before the hospital gave me a cheese toasted sandwich and coffee THATS IT! 26 hours of labor I was starving and exhausted. Good luck I hope it’s quick for you.

You want a good mix of protein, fat, and fiber. I would have a bowl of oatmeal with fresh fruit and almonds for breakfast, cheese, pepperoni and more fruit/veggies for snacks, a bowl of soup w/ a sandwich for lunch, and maybe a burger with sweet potato fries and a small salad for dinner.
