Boys are ???confusing???

Y’all I semi recently told a lad I’m friends with that I liked him (over text yeah ik bad move but I’m a wuss) I did the “I’m sorry but I’ve liked you for awhile and that I’d be glad to stay friends, just thought I should let you know” deal. He responded “Yeah me too, I've been quite stressed lately and didn't wanna add much to my plate but I think you're an awesome person and would love to stay friends.” It makes sense but it can be interpreted two different ways and I don’t wanna over think it or get my hopes up but like I am anyways??? So??Idk if any of you have advice or ideas comment ig lol
