Anyone has done IUI from a fertility Center? And can ease my mind?

We found out my husband can’t have children. We have did everything humanly and medically possible to try to get sperm for ivf but they were unable to find any. Our second plan since we found out about the issue was we decided we would do a sperm doner. So after his surgery about a month ago we saw the fertility doctor for me. She did a vaginal ultrasound and checked my ovaries and my uterus but everything looked picture perfect she said. She said she recommends we do a HSG X-ray. So we don’t start IUI and spend thousands if I have blocked tubes. But we are self pay and they want 600$ for that and my mom said I’m young (I’m 20) and that she doesn’t think I would have any sort of a Fallopian tube blockage. Do you guys recommend that test?

Also has anyone had the actual IUI procedure?

I’ve never really had anyone down there and when I did my ultrasound I felt so embarrassed. With her in there lol maybe I’m being to sensitive. But I’m worried about the IUI hurting or just the thought of her all in there I guess I’m always shy I don’t even like my husband down there. Any tips or advise?

I already bought the ovulation test she said we are going to start our first cycle in July. Im just so nervous about it all. But I know when it happens I’ll feel so blessed. I felt better with my husband by my side.
