Baby vs career

Ok guys... I’m 28 years old with two kids.. since we’ve had our two kids I have moved into a different job. I’m about one year in and I’ve been moving up the ranks quickly and really succeeding at what I’m doing. With my last two leaves (1 year off- I’m in Canada) my career has taken a huge hit and I’ve had to change jobs because of it. Anyway, we’ve been talking about baby #3. I’m really nervous to have another leave. I don’t want my career to control my life but I take it and my family life very seriously. I really love this job and am afraid after a year off I’ll come back to being low on the totem pole and have the same issues I did last time and need to leave. Any advice? Words of wisdom?
