Computer issues

So I just had my graduation party today. Earlier my dad (who lives in Virginia) asked if I needed a laptop for college coming up. Now before I say this I realize I never told him no chromebooks. I told him I was going to use the money from my party to get a MacBook Pro because it will work for me best with what I need for college. They got me a dell chromebook. The thought was very sweet however chromebooks can’t run blackboard collaborate which my college uses. Chromebooks are more for younger kids, they can’t do much like a regular laptop can. I wish my dad would’ve talked to me before he purchased it. So now I’ve got no receipt and it’s from Best Buy so I’m gonna try to return it for store credit, and my aunts going to help me buy a MacBook Pro. I feel bad. But also they bought me brother an actual dell laptop for graduation but only got me a chromebook. I’m not a child anymore I need an actual laptop that can do everything I need it to do. I think when he got it he was looking at price. I would’ve preferred $200 (what it’s worth) instead of him getting it for me cus now I feel bad that I’m gonna take it back. But everyone in my family agrees college students need more than a chromebook. When I told him about the MacBook I implied that I was gonna use the money I get but I probably wouldn’t have enough and wanted him to maybe try and help towards the cost a little. I don’t have a job yet (I’ve applied a few places but no callbacks yet ) so I’m not making any $ but my aunt and uncle are going to loan me money to help me get it. My aunt is a colonel in the army and agrees. She only uses Apple and the dell computer her work Gave her is an actual laptop. And also I have a chromebook. Its had a lot of issues and the school chromebooks had a ton of issues too. And when my mom got me my chromebook it was cuz I was 13 and didn’t need a real laptop but now I do.
