First ultrasound?

When did you all get your first ultrasound? The ob didn’t want to see me until I was 9 weeks. So I don’t go in until the 18th. I’m curious if they’ll do an ultrasound at my first appointment and let me hear the heartbeat. When I was 5 weeks I went to the er and they confirmed through blood and urine that I’m pregnant and they did an ultrasound but wouldn’t let me look at it.

I got mine at 9 1/2 weeks but that was because I’m plus size and they usually give more ultrasounds to us :P next one won’t be until 20 weeks though.

Why did you go to the ER? If you were having problems I’m surprised they didnt book you earlier.  But i guess theres not much they can do .  Mine was 7wks

That’s typical. My first appointment was 9 weeks. I had an ultrasound and then met with my doctor after. We did not hear the HB but they did check it with the ultrasound machine and got the rate. You could see the wave but no sound. Usually they check the actually HB with a Doppler later on in pregnancy at that early it’s very hard to find.

My first appt was at 8 weeks and I got a transvaginal ultrasound to see baby and hear heartbeat.

Mine didn't want to see me until 9-11 weeks but I got an us that visit

I didn't get my first ultrasound until 17 weeks, but that was because we didn't know how far along I was! Talk about a surprising development! After that I had the routine one done at 20 weeks and haven't had one since, though I may once I get very close to my due date. They did use little ultrasound-like radios to listen to  the baby's heartbeat at every appointment, though!

they usually don’t when the pregnancy is confirmed usually something is wrong or maybe that was my obgyn I knew my late period so they went by that !! but if not you’ll most likely hear the heartbeat I did at like 8 weeks !! congrats
