long story short, i’m currently in another country for a school trip. 5 days ago, my period started during it. a few hours ago, i used the restroom at a shop. 2 hours or so later, at dinner, i went to use the restroom only to be surprised i didn’t have a tampon in. i panicked. did i forget to put in a tampon, or is my mind playing tricks on me? my mind caused me to feel surprised and tells me that i did use a tampon. however, when i think about it now i really can’t remember with absolute certainty.

i’m on my last-ish day so i’ve used a lite tampax along with a liner. i’m also suddenly developing a little fever along with having a sore throat and congestion (due to secondhand smoking and pollution).

i’ve tried fishing out for a tampon in the public restroom (gave up because it hurts forcing my finger in to look for a string).

when i clench my vagina, i don’t feel anything (then again, remember i’m using the smallest tampon... does that have any effect??)

the fever is putting me on edge. my friends told me that TSS takes longer to develop into a fever. however, i want to be as safe as possible.
