When did you tell everyone you were pregnant?

My husband and I arent pregnant yet, first cycle trying! It came up last night how long we would wait to tell everyone we were expecting. I said 8 weeks/first appt to tell family. He said 12 weeks for anyone.
I have never been pregnant, no history of any complications, no miscarriages. His ex wife and sister had miscarriages so they waited to tell everyone until the second trimester.

First pregnancy we waited until after our first ultrasound, but it ended in a silent miscarriage 4 weeks later, now I tell my family right away because I know I'll need their support if the worst does happen.

Told close friends at 8 weeks and everyone (work and facebook) at 15/16 weeks, mostly because we wanted to make sure all family heard it from us and not Facebook.

My doctor told us that the risk of miscarriage drops significantly once you see/hear the heart beat. That is what we are waiting for. It’s really up to you and your husband.

After 12 weeks. My mom know before. But that was it.  For my first two my mom and mil know.  My first (an ectopic) I was in and out of the hospital for a month for his brothers and mom know.

This is my first. Immediate family (moms, dads, siblings) were within a week of finding out. So 5 weeks. Then 11 weeks i announced “publicly” as i felt good about having two ultrasounds by then. (One at the dr to confirm and then an elective one at 11 to see progress)
