Cloth Diaper help!

So I've literally stumbled across a post and saw "cloth diaper" I'm a FTM due in October & they seem like a realllllyyyyy good idea!! My friends little one is a year old & the amount of diapers she goes through is crazy, I wasnt aware there was an alternative....

I've been looking at places to buy them & see things like "charcoal insert" "microfiber insert" "bamboo insert" ....... I really just dont know 😵 I've read up but you know when your brains just does not allow the information to sink in 😂 any advice / which inserts you've found are the better option please let me know!
