I got caught.... EDITED

I shoplifted at Wal-Mart and got caught. When I was 17. I went to jail I guess, but my grandma was up there before I even got in a holding cell or whatever not that it matters. I'm up for a fast food job now and now and they're gonna do a background check to see if I'm a felon I guess?? Will this be something I tell them or ? Is shoplifting a felon? I really need this job it's just something I did when I was younger, stupid I know.

Eta: it was barely over 50$ they told me if it went over 50 they were calling the cops it was like 52$ I never went to court but I did pay it off so I wouldn't have to go to court
