My throat was swelling shut! What should I have done!?

Long story! So today I was at work.(I’m a supervisor in a food court) I wake up my neck is a tiny bit swollen no biggie. I get to work and about 3 hours in my throat starts hurting and I’m getting blisters. I go to lunch and can’t really swallow. I go back to work for another 2 hours and it had gotten much worst. Now I have a shellfish allergy and my work knows this. They serve shellfish in the food court. I go to my manager and tell her I may need to leave early to see a doctor. SHE STARTED YELLING AT ME!!! “Why?!” I said because my throat is swelling I can hardly swallow any liquids or anything. She then said “You should have taken medicine!” I inform her I did I doubled up I took both prescribed allergy meds twice. “It’s not an allergic reaction!” She yells. I’m sorry didn’t know you had to have a PHD to be a food court manager! After a long argument(mostly her) about how it is an allergic reaction because people don’t know how to change gloves and not touch door handles after touching shellfish with those gloves she ended up yelling at me to “Get out and get off her clock go do whatever!” Then starts to tell the other supervisor that I’m leaving and they start yelling too! I get to the ER where the doctor was quick to identify I was having an allergic reaction AND my throat was almost swollen shut AND my neck was 3 times it’s normal size! So the hospital called and wanted to claim workman’s comp my manager then yelled at the billing person for the hospital!

Side note: I have an epipen and 2 bottles of prescription allergy meds with me at all times!

What would you do in this situation???
