Neglect?

Should I call acs? Honestly I don't even think it's normal! My upstairs neighbors have 6 kids so many times the baby has been left in the hall unattended too in a stroller left to scream downstairs and cry by my door I went into the hall a bunch of times n nobody was nearby like wtf?! That baby could topple over!! Not just that they are dead broke they live in a two bedroom with 6 kids in one bedroom and the 6 year old sleeps in a pack n play Becuz there's no room for s bed! It's disgusting! N disturbing! I wish this mom would just use birth control already!!! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻I don't know why they are opposed to it n then blame it on religion when they do obviously cannot afford it or even watch them all normally

Calm down for one. They are broke, they are doing what they can to survive. Should they have that many kids if they cant afford it? No. But they do. Calling CPS, their children will be ripped away from them. Go upstairs, and talk to them. Explain your concerns and why you feel like it's not safe. Then ask, are they planning to move out? Do they have enough food? Are the kids fed, bathed and happy? Are there drugs involved? Alcohol?

Find out what's going on. Offer your help, your advice. Before you call. Because imagine if they are doing their absolute best and trying, and the kids are healthy.. And they all get taken away. That would ruin me. My sister has three kids, at one point she lived in a one bedroom place, she wasn't eating so her kids could eat. She did everything in her power. And a few months later, she was able to provide them with everything. But she was also a very good mother and made sure they were healthy. If someone had called, her kids would have been taken away.

If they are not safe, not being fed, bathed, and if the parents are not trying, then yes, call. But I say wait until you know everything. Nowadays it's hard to get your kids back once they are taken (around here anyways) and they always go into foster care and usually are unhappy.

Call the police & tell them there is a baby left unattended in the hallway. They'll find the parents and hopefully something will happy. I feel so bad for that family.

Calling cps does not mean the children will taken away. Calling cps might get this family connected to resources they need. If you call and their are no issues there is no harm done.

You can call social services anonymously. For the sake of those kids. They will come out and see whats going on with the parents. Take the kids away if necessary or help the parents if necessary. But its best thing to do. Especially if there just left neglected. Hope all works out

Child protective services does not remove children unless there is severe abuse, neglect, or drugs in the home. I would call. They actually can offer them some assistance.

You're better than me BC I'd take the baby into my apt and call the authorities on them.  That's insane !!!!!  To think a mother or father can do such a thing.  They don't care and obviously need to give that baby a chance at a better life with someone who can properly care for it.  Smfh .... I definitely would! Although it would be sad to see the kids get split up in different families at least they'd be taken care of and not neglected! I hate seeing children like that! They didn't ask to be here but they're the ones that suffer! It's not fair!

Take video of the kid in the hallway. That's not ok. Send them a note asking not to leave the kid out there anymore. If they still do it report it and show the pictures and videos

This is so sad! I don't understand the whole religion thing either when it comes to something like this. I don't mean to knock it, but if you seriously cannot affor to have children then REALLY come on! It's not fair for the children. Ugh, it's so sad. 😥
