Any tips on how to get through contractions?

I’m really wanting to have my baby without a epidural. This is my second and for my first my body was under so much stress I had to get one. And I hated not being in control of my body. Is there any tips how to get through the pain? I’m getting induced Monday. And I’ll take all the tips I can get. Thank you ladies❤️

What helped me was breathing techniques and telling myself that the pain was a good pain and each contraction was one step closer to meeting my boy. I had nothing but positive thoughts through out my contractions! Pain is temporary and pride is forever!

I watched this YouTube video from a midwife, and she suggested counting down (backwards) from 10 four times to distract your mind and by the time you did that the contraction would be over. I haven’t had a baby yet so I wouldn’t know if it helps or not.

I just kept telling myself it will be over soon and worth it and trying to control my breathing helped too. I have read a few people say induction contractions are worse which I didn't find true at all. All the best x

I was induced with my first with no pain relief besides gas and air focus on your breathing it helped me!
