Help me please

Long story short I’m going to the doctors for possibilities of me having either bipolar disorder or boardline personality disorder (both these disorders are all very common amongst both sides of my family and they’re in our gene knowing half my family has either or both) and I know antidepressants & mood stabilizers can decrease the effectiveness of birth control and I’m scared it will do so considering my boyfriend and I are not using condoms but we are very careful. How should I address this to my doctor about the decrease effectiveness of birth control?
