stick to pills or switch?

okay so i’ve been recently having trouble with health insurance so i’m gonna have to go a few weeks without taking my pill bc i can’t afford it without the insurance. i’m sorting out the whole coverage thing but i’m debating whether i should try getting back on the pill after not taking it for a while or switching to another form of birth control like the patch or an iud. any advice? i know that everybody has different experiences but i’ve personally heard that the side effects for the iud or patch are less intense than the pill if that makes any sense
