Dad at baby shower?

Is it weird if my husband is there for the full baby shower if it’s girls only? I see that it’s normal for dads to come at the end during gifts, but if he’s going to come I’d rather he’s there the whole time.

We had men and women at our shower🧐🧐 I have brothers, cousins, friends, and their spouses, and my god father who wanted to be there so it was never in my mind whether men should or should not be allowed🤷🏽‍♀️ I mean, invite whoever.. if they don’t want to come, they won’t come anyway😅😅

Dad’s not being at the baby shower is kind of a dying tradition I think. My entire family was there helping my husband and I celebrate our little girl. It’s your baby shower though so it’s up to you 😊

I think it’s a bit unusual to do this. You generally either have a women-only baby shower with the father not there, or one with men and women (where the father of course would be there). At least that’s the way it’s been with all the ones I’ve been to. Co-ed ones are becoming a lot more common.

It may feel odd for him to stay the whole time if he is the only male but I'd just ask him how he feels about it! You don't want him to be uncomfortable or bored, that wouldn't be fun for anyone. Ask him what he thinks but let him know you'd enjoy it if he was there for it all :)

We had men and women. It’s my husbands baby too and the gifts are for our kid 🤷🏻‍♀️ plus I HATE when the attention is all on me lol so we just had a bbq at my MILs and invited a bunch of people and called it a day!

If you’re doing only girls then no he doesn’t have to unless you want him too, or you can do co Ed and have him invite his friends too

My husband was the only guy at one of my babyshowers. Wasn’t awkward or uncomfortable at all. He was treated very well

Mine is coming for the whole thing, but I invited a few of my friends husbands/boyfriends who are his buddies so hes not the only guy there.
