Cigarette smoke...

So my husband and I are selling our house as his ultimate life goal was to buy a piece of property and build a house. So we have 3 weeks until the closing of our home and no real definite place to stay. Yikes!

My mother has welcome us into her home while we build our forever home but she is a smoker and smokes inside her home. It’s so unfortunate because we would be able to stay there at no cost to us which is ideal while we build. My heart is torn at the thought of bringing my 12 week old baby to live in her smoke infested home. I honestly don’t even like going over there now to visit because of it. I know second hand smoke increases the risk of sids, but my question is if I am able to get her to start smoking outside in the short time we live there so you think the smoke that’s already inside the home would affect my baby? I feel like I would be cheating my little man if we move in there but at this point it’s uncertain where else we can go at the moment. Any advice and/or opinions would be appreciated!
