Adjusted crib?

Has anyone actually used their crib in this way? Ive seen it in multiple sites and I really want to try it but im a little nervous.

Its a convertible crib so can be used with only one side rail but that’s typically for a toddler not a newborn. Everything is flush and theres no gaps. Crib is all the way against the wall and the bed is all the way up against the crib so its not going anywhere lol.

Just wondering if anyone else had tried this and what your experience was?
