Have you ever disliked your childs name... Or felt like your childs name did not fit them?

So my husband is so set on naming our son X'zavian Montrell.. (Middle Named after his brother that is a.... How do i say this... Drug dealer, womenizer, gang banger, street life... Husband thinks hes killed before 🤷)... I had no idea that that was his middle name till his mom told me.. Im 32 wks. And i honestly do not LOVE his name. He wont budge on the name! He says its his first son and wants to name him... Iv brought up other names, tried talking about it and he says "if i change it don't tell him because thats what he is going by with him... "... I kno i kno... If i have a problem with it than just change it blah blah blah.... Just trying to see if others have been in the position and what ended up happening. :):) thankkkks

It’s really up to both of you, but they’ll be asking you for the name. 
I don’t think it’s a good idea with so much negativity surrounding it.

I’d tell him you guys need to find something to agree on or he can just not have a middle name.

You two need to come to a middle ground,  my oldest son's dad wouldn't budge on his first name and I didn't like the name my son ended up with both names and a middle name. The only people who call him by the name his dad picked are his dad and grandma. My son is now 15 and says when he turns 18 he's changing his name to remove the name his dad picked.

You both have to agree. Don't let him bully you into it. I believe names have a deeper meaning than people think they do. If his brother lives that kinda lifestyle and wants to name your son the exact same name then it not a good look for him. Do you really want your son to be named after a murderer?

Both parents should like their child's name, even if it's neither person's first choice. To expect you to go along with a name you don't like at all is selfish on his part.

My daughters name was supposed to be Leo because I LOVE the name, and she’s a Leo as well. It fits her as her nickname better than her actual name. She was supposed to be LeoRose ElizabethRenee but my family bashed on it. My mother talked me into Leanna instead, and I’ve hated it but it’s my mom, she’s sick so I wanted her to have a say in it (she respected the nickname though) and calls her Leo. So her name is LeannaRose ElizabethRenee. Rose for me (my middle) Elizabeth for my mother’s middle and Renee for my sister who was murdered when I was 3.

I say yes only because my first. I wanted to name her Hope. It just fit and even now at 8 years old it fits! Well my mom and grandmother hated it and convinc d me to go with Kallie. Ps my name is Kayley. So now I deal with them calling me kallie none stop
