Tick on dog?

So my dog had a tick on him I’m assuming from being outside. Should I be worried about inside my house? Is it like fleas I’m new to this and don’t really know and I’m more concerned about my children or me getting bite any tips or advice would be great thanks

If you soak a cotton ball in dish soap and then rub it on the spot where tick is for about twenty sec it will get stuck in the cotton. 
And no it’s not like fleas.

Treat the pet to prevent fleas and ticks all together. Dogs can get tick born diseases from being bitten by certain species of ticks! Also when you go to remove the tick you have to make sure you take off the entire thing. Sometimes the head gets left behind still holding on to the pets skin and can cause infection. Idk where you live but here in Florida Flea, tick, mite, and heart worm prevention needs to be given year round!

Theyre bot like fleas, but your dog (or anybody that goes outside) can carry ticks inside and they can get on other people or pets.

I would check his spots where he sleeps and lays most of the time. I would check him every couple of days. I shaved my dog not all the way but to the point where I could see if it was inside him since his fur is light. Also buy a tick and flea shampoo for him and a preventive collar if it’s within your budget.
