Should I talk to him?

I’m currently snapping this guys who kinda has a bad history, he made a sex tape with this girl in 9th and it got leaked and a bunch of crap happened. But it’s been almost three years since then and he actually seems like a genuine guy, the problem is we’re only snapping and idk if he just wants to hook up or talk cause he says he wants to hook up but then gets mad when I don’t talk to him. I’m just really attracted to him. Also, my friends don’t know yet that I actually like him I’m acting like it’s a joke because I know they would judge me. Should I talk to him?
