Everybody’s kids are different. Some parents start potty training the second their kid can walk, and it takes months. Some wait and their kid picks it up right away. I don’t think there’s a wrong time for a kid to learn that, within reason. (And when I say that, I mean a 5-year-old going to kindergarten needs to be potty trained).

The only thing that comes to my mind is paying for those expensive diapers or pull ups so that’s why I would recommend potty training as soon as you can

Most kids do it when they’re ready. I wasn’t potty trained until just before my 4th birthday. My mom says I took the longest but I was the easiest, I just woke up one day and decided to use the potty and that was it.

My son's pediatrician has said numerous times that boys tend to take longer than girls. She has also said how she has seen regression in potty training. There is a potty training checklist that you can look at. (Found it on Google.) It takes time and patience but the child has to be ready. I'd talk to the pediatrician for tips though.

I learned by two and so did my sister. I think you should start teaching them young and then they’ll be trained. If you give them enough time and attention it’s super unlikely they won’t be potty trained.

My son is 4 and still wears a pamper -.- he knows how to use restroom in toilet but he just refuses.

As a former preschool/prek teacher, if he is in school or going to school he would have to be fully potty trained. We wouldnt let kids move up to the 3 year old room until they were. The state wont allow us to change them unless they had a disability.
