I'm recovering from my laparoscopy and found out my best chance of pregnancy is through IVF due to my only tube being completely blocked. I've read that most of the time IVF fails the first time.
I'm still trying to learn about this and would really like to read your stories, advices, links, and anything that helps! This is still fresh and I'm still processing and it's been a really long journey.

Mine was successful first time. IVF depends on so many factors; general statistics aren't always helpful because they don't take your individual circumstances into account. The Lister Clinic has a good pregnancy calculator online, so does the University of St Andrews. You may be eligible for a scheme where you pay a fee for unlimited ivf treatment for a certain number of years, refunded if you don't have a baby, but again, it depends on individual circumstances. If you can get a fertility MOT or have the basic checks & blood tests done, you will have a much better idea of success rate to make an informed decision.

Mine was successful the 1st time. I have unexplained fertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. After failed IUI my RE thought we should try IVF because at a minimum he thought he could learn more from watching the embryos grow. We chose to do a frozen transfer because it has better success rates. We transferred 2 embryos, both initially stuck but one stopped developing around 6/7 weeks. I am currently 10w+5 with the other who is doing fantastic. My best friend also was successful at her first IVF attempt. She did a fresh transfer with 2 embryos and the same thing that happened to me happened to her. Her son turned 3 yesterday ❤
