Iron makes you poop??

Do iron pills make you constipated or do they make it easier to poop? i always thought they made you constipated. I just started it yesterday and just had like half diarrhea half solid.

It will constipate you over time as it builds in your system. A fiber supplement will help regulate you.

Normally constipate but I’m one of the lucky few who get diarrhea! I’m not going to lie diarrhea sucks however, the odd day I’ve missed my pill and ended up constipated the next, I’ll take the loose stools!

I’m highly gluten sensitive but eat it anyway because I can’t control myself. Iron helps 😂 By that I mean it’ll constipate you if you’re normal, or make you normal if you’re me.

Either!!! Depends on the person, some (most) people will be constipated but others will get the opposite - both are a normal side affect x

Constipate! I have IBS and have NEVER been constipated in my life... until I started taking iron 2 months ago. My doctor told me to take them with colace because they constipate you, one wasn't working so I ended up taking 2 every day just to stay semi regular.
