Official test day - help, Alere tests
Hi all,
I’m 12dp5dt on an ICSI cycle, yesterday was my official test day. I used a frer and the Alere one from the hospital.
The frer came up negative and I thought the Alere one did too but when I looked at the test half an hour later (I know, I’m a bad person) there was a definite v faint line there. It was difficult to pick up on camera and came out looking a bit more grey/pink in colour. But to the eye it was much more pink like the first.
I’m so confused, aren’t frer the most sensitive brand? And I’ve had an indent/evap line before but never a pink one?
I kept my eye on it for the next couple of hours while it dried out and it left behind a very definite pink line ?!
So confusing! My clinic said this happens sometimes and to test again Sunday. If we’re still unsure I’ll come in for a blood test, which I wish they’d just done anyway.
I tested today, needing to know if it had been an evap or not, and got another extremely faint pink line just outside of the time limit but I’m struggling to pick it up on the phone. It’s fainter than it looked yesterday.
My mum keeps reminding me how tests never picked up anything for her until two months. But that was twenty years ago!
Should I still have hope for this??

Thank you so much, xxx
