Twin who had twins?!

I know twins usually skip a generation, or so they say. But I’m just curious if you had twins/multiples were you a twin as well? 
I have a twin brother & have always dreamt of having twins myself. My first 2 children I had were both girls. My eldest daughter’s dad is also a twin so we wonder if she will have twins one day since her mom & dad are both twins.

So since you have a twin brother, which suggests you’re fraternal twins, you have a higher chance of having twins because it is possible that like your mom before you, you also release more than one egg a month. That’s how fraternal twins occur. Twins on the dads side don’t increase chances and identical twins are considered non hereditary and are more of a “fluke”. 
All that said truly anything can happen. They say that increased chances of twins also occurs if you are over 30, BMI is over 30, tall, have many babies prior to the twin pregnancy, African American, breastfeeding during conception, or eating a ton of dairy. 
I fall into NONE of the above categories and there’s no history of twins in my family but bam here I am. 29 weeks pregnant with fraternal twins! 😳

I have a twin brother and I have an older brother and sister that are twins. We are 13 years apart. Before my parents had two sets of twins there wasn’t twins in the family. I am now pregnant with twins. 🥰 So, yes it is possible and it doesn’t skip a generation. 🤪 I have a daughter that will be two by time they are born and none of my siblings had twins.

I have a fraternal set on my moms side, a identical on my dads side. I have a set of fraternal twins and my youngest was triplets but due to vanishing twin syndrome, I lost the identical set of twins and gave birth to a singleton. Currently 4 weeks 3 days and don’t know yet if it’s multiples. Although hcg is 1486 as of yesterday. I just knew with my youngest it was twins, didn’t know triplets but knew it was more than 1.

That’s just an old wives tale. It seems that way as the chance of twins (even fraternal) are not super high. So with each continuing generation chances increase.

I have identical twin sisters. One of them has a set of fraternal twin boys. I have a set of boy/girl twins. My moms family has a set if twins in every generation.
