Has anyone taken their 3 month old to the movies?

My husband and I really want to take our 7 year old daughter to watch Aladdin and than secret life of pets 2 and so forth . But I'm iffy if it's safe for us to take our 3 month old. Would it effect his ears ? Has anyone taken their babies to the movies yet? I tried having my MIL watch him but she's always busy and we are tired of waiting

Yes! We went and saw Aladdin on Saturday night. He slept through the whole thing.

We’ve taken our daughter to the movies 3 times and she’s slept through them! We seen dumbo, the new avengers movie and the secret life of pets 2.

A big no-no. You need special headphones for that. Very loud for a baby. I took my son to a special mommy and me movie (where they lowered the volume and kept the lights on). It was still too loud. My son jumped at every loud noise so we left. He absolutely did not like the noise. I really do NOT recommend seeing a normal movie at the theater!

We took ours boy to see avengers. That sucker is 3 hours long and he slept the whole time. We would offer a bottle if he’s tired , he’d eat with his eyes closed and go back to sleep

We’re not taking him until he’s older then a year because we don’t wanna be “that family” and we already have hearing problems with little man

Guess what ladies I did it! I took my son to the movies. And he did awesome ! We bought him these headphones called banz and they block out the noise and he did great in the theatre . We went to see toy story 4

If they have screenings where its mommy and me, not as dark, soj d down everyone else has children I would go for it. 
Otherwise I would do the little headphones for them.

Where I’m from they do special screenings just for babies on certain days. They adjust the sound etc

We did it yesterday and it wasn’t too bad. The only bad part is that like you mentioned it’s pretty loud so I’m not sure if it affects their ears 😟 and some of the loud parts scared him, he would jump. He didn’t cry tho he just got fussy and wanted to eat of course. We had family with us, so my MIL took him at the end of the movie (only 10 minutes) as he was getting tired. I say try it if you’re willing! ☺️
