Is it “outdated” that I would like to get married before having children?

I’m not sure if that’s a weird question or not lol. I’m not at all against others having kids before marriage. But, for myself, I feel like children change your life forever. And when you decided to have a child with a person, you will have to deal with that person forever or at least 18 years lol. I want to make sure that the guy I’m with makes those vows to me & shows me he is fully committed to me & a baby.

I’ve expressed myself to my bf about this many times. Sometimes I’m left thinking expressing my self is wrong or I’m asking for to much, when in reality I just want that real commitment. Tell me do you think I’m wrong for expressing how I feel? & do you think wanting to get married before having kids is “outdated”?
