So my boyfriend just proposed!! Yay!! BUT, he is awful with money. He wants to combine our incomes when we get married, but I don't want to do that until he gets better with spending.

He spends so much money on alcohol, cigarettes, and crap he doesn't need.

Nevermind the fact that we need <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> for medical reasons (15-20,000$). Ive been saving up for <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> on my own.

I've tried talking to him about it, but he doesn't listen. I'm afraid to combine our incomes until he fixes this. What should I say? Would counseling help? Any guidance would be appreciated.
