NuvaRing making sex painful??

Hey ladies. So lately over the past few months I have had soreness during sex. Like an intense soreness while also feeling on the edge of orgasm, yet it never comes because of the pain. I have never felt this before and I am wondering if my NuvaRing could be causing it? I have been on NuvaRing for maybe 5 months. I don’t know what to do about birth control because pills I have tried either make me severely depressed or other unwanted side effects.

What birth control methods do you use that you like?? Please help! I hate not being able to fully enjoy sex with my husband.
