Ok ladies I need some backup on this!

So my husband is a residential counselor and works with intellectually disabled guys. Some are worse than others. Well tonight he texted me that he ended up having to restrain one of the guys in the drive way, keep in mind here my hubby is like 5'6 and 146Lbs and the guy he had to restrain is like 6ft something and probably over 200 lbs. Well now my hubbys ribs are hurting and he said he heard and felt something cracking and now it hurts to breathe. Now I understand that if he broke or bruised a rib the doctors cant do much about it but tell him to give it time to heal right? Well what if he punctured a lung or something else? Could he be bleeding internally and not know it? I know I'm probably worrying more than I should but this man is about to be having his 5th baby in October and I need him to stay alive with me for a very long time bc quite honestly I probably cannot do this without him. So should he go get checked out by a doctor like I'm telling him to or will it not matter like he is saying? What do you ladies think?
