Chlamydia

I just got a call from my doctor today saying I am positive for chlamydia. The one thing that worries me the most about this is that I could become infertile. Has anyone here ever gotten chlamydia and was still able to have kids, or was not able to have kids?

Also the earliest I could have gotten this infection was 5 weeks ago. And I took the medicine for it today. Will that help my likelihood of not becoming infertile?
