Long term birth control

I'm currently on the mini pill and I've been on it for 3 months and it seems OK but I'm so paranoid because my periods are so irregular. I don't take my pill at the same exact time everyday but always between 9 and 10pm. Never past 10. I'm thinking of going back to the combined pill. I take a pregnancy test almost every month to be sure. I don't want a baby anytime soon. What birth control methods do you use if you've been child free for a few years?
