color & blackwork in the same sleeve?

I need advice!! I started my traditional sleeve a couple of months ago and I am going to get another soon. My question is the one I have now has no color (I attached a photo of it) and is on my forearm. The next one will be traditional flowers on the outside of my forearm and the reference photo I found is in color (pic below my tattoo) well I really love the colors in it, but not sure if it would look bad to have some of my sleeve in color and some in black? Would that look a mess? Would these flowers still be pretty with no color?
