Say you used a measuring cup & measured out water, only water. Do you put that cup in the sink, or do you dry it and put it back in the cabinet?

Just a little lighthearted debate my husband and I are having-
Say you’re using a measuring cup (just for example), and you measure out water. Nothing else touches the cup but water. Do you consider the cup dirty, and put it in the sink to be washed? Or do you dry it off and put it away?

For some unknown and pointless reason, when I find my self in this situation I tend to rinse it (with just more water) and then set it out to dry.

It’s water so it goes back. It’s a different story if you drink from whatever has/had the water in it, but just pouring it out is fine. Still clean to me.

I’m OCD so this depends 😂. If my hands are clean I wipe and put away. If my hands aren’t clean, I wash it first.
