Two baby showers?

I am having a baby shower thrown for me in a few weeks in my hometown - which is about 4 hours from where I live.
Is it tacky to have a second shower in my current location? It would be all different people? Just a friend mentioned throwing one but I don’t want ppl to think I’m being greedy 😬 by having 2

I had two showers but all completely different people who didn't know each other. It worked out really well.

It’s only tacky if you invite the same people! I’m having a family/close friend’s shower and my work is throwing me a shower, but no crossover people, so I feel good about it!

If your friend wants to do it for you, let her. If you feel awkward about it, you can always just do a “diapers and wipes” party instead

I had two with my first! One thrown by friends with just a specific friend group and then one thrown by my mom for family and her friends.

No it’s not tacky my sister and I are having a dual baby shower on Saturday and then I’m having one in my hometown on July 20th which is about 17hrs from where I live
