Induction Date Rant

So we are inducing with our little man and we tried to schedule today. To induce at 39 weeks would put us at Friday, July 5th. BUT they won't do it because it's a "holiday weekend." The 4th is on a Thursday. I fail to see how it's a holiday weekend. But apparently the anesthesia team takes that weekend off so they won't induce me then. I work in the hospital I'm delivering at and the rest of us don't get to treat it like a holiday. So anyway, we now have to wait until Monday, July 8th. Four days before my due date. The whole point was to get him out early. 😤
