Woke up to this morning to my little one's

(almost 6 months old) head being super hot. Not her forehead, nose, cheeks or ears. Her back was warm and so were her little hands. Like. Abnormally warm. But her axillary temp was 97.8. Her temp at her checkup today was about the same. She isn't fussy, she isn't acting differently, her diapers are normal and she's eating alright. Doesn't seem to be bothered by teething today.

We had her out in the sun briefly yesterday a few times (she's a redhead). She has no visible pinkness from the sun, so why on earth is the back of her head still burning up 7 hours later? Any ideas? Maybe a super mild burn or something? Normally she wears a hat but yesterday was overcast and I took it off🤦🏻‍♀️. She's never been this warm on her head though.
