What clothes to put long 6 month old in?

So my son is in the 98+% for height. He's 30in and 20.4 lbs (90%) so not skinny but also dosent have the usual baby rolls and I super active. I put him in 6 month clothes and they fit around but are short. I put him in 6-9/9 and they fit length wise most of the time, some are still to short, but have so much fabric in the middle that it looks super baggy on him. 9-12 pants are the perfect length but they don't stay up on his waist. I wish I had the talent to make clothes that are long and thin but I don't. Dad is 6'2 so we were expecting a tall boy but what did you Mamas put your tall babies in?
