Why are cats like this??

Does anyone actually know the reason why they do this? Mine does this and has a major attitude if there is an empty spot in the middle of her bowl for longer than 5 minutes.

my dog is like that. she barks at it until i move the food so that the whole bottom is covered 😂 i think its like ocd or something

Yup, their whiskers are a highly sensitive sensory tool.  Eating in a bowl makes their whiskers brush up against it and it can be irritating and painful.  Try a plate 😊😊

Even with a plate, they just don't like seeing holes in their food. I used to tell people my cat thought I was the pope and I had to "bless" her food before she could eat it. I had to move her food around to cover the bare spots in her dish
