Announcing?

Question

Currently I'm 4 weeks 2 days pregnant and I don't know when to tell parents/in laws, friends, extended family. I keep reading 12 weeks is a good time to announce because the chances of miscarrying reduces dramatically. What are your thoughts or suggestions?

I'm currently 4w 5d and it's the most pregnant I've ever been! (Had 2 miscarriages in the past 3 months). I have only told my best friend who knows I've been through the miscarriages & she helps me keep my crazy in check 😂 We will tell family after the first scan at 8 weeks & everyone else at 12. I'm holding out at least until my 7 week ultrasound but we've had such a crazy journey that our support system knows we did IVF so some will know in the next few days after my blood tests. I think it's really up to you! In my opinion, if you do miscarry, it would be good to have the support as you work through that. Hoping for lots of healthy June babies though!

I told my immediate family right away.... They would definitely know something's up when I decline a glass of wine! We are waiting until thanksgiving to announce to the rest of the family! I did have to tell a few people at work since I work with children with Autism and run the risk of getting kicked or hit!

I am also 4 w 2 d today! So excited! Anyways I have also gone back and forth with telling family, friends and social media sites. My mom is my bestfriend and so I literally cannot keep it a secret anymore. If we lived closer to them (we are about 6-7 hr drive) we would probably have told them already but I think I got the hubby on board to drive down tomorrow to let just our family in on the news. Maybe some of our bestfriends but we definitely want to tell everyone in person so hopefully this weekend they will know. 😍

I am 3 weeks 5 days and I told my family and close friends. If I miscarried, I would want their support. I'm going to tell everyone else at 10 weeks

I'm going to see my Dr at six weeks and then I'm telling family. I just want to be sure everything is all good before I tell....but it is killing me

I am also 4w2d. My parents know as well as siblings and a couple close friends . I am going to TRY to wait until after first ultra sound in a few weeks to tell the rest of my family. It's so hard to stay quiet when your so excited!!!

I told my two best friends and my boyfriend told one of his. My parents have been away and come back this weekend, so I am indecisive whether telling them this weekend or waiting for my first appt at 7 weeks. I told 2 coworkwrs because I too work with children with autism and am often kicked, hit, etc. Everyone else we are waiting for the 12 weeks and will probably do a fun, Christmas themed announcement.

I think it is really up to you and what you feel comfortable with. I know if I do have a miscarriage I would want at least my parents and close friends to be there as a support system.

I'm also 4w2d and I was never worried about miscarrying w my first but that was nearly seven years ago and since being on glow and seeing all of these women who have miscarried, I am waiting until 12 weeks to tell family and friends. I did tell my mom the day I found out but we aren't telling anyone else including our daughter until we know everything is okay.
