Washer and dryer..weird question

This may be an odd thing to ask. I’m heavily pregnant lol, and our dryer just stopped working. So we need something ASAP. It was a pretty old dryer, maybe at least 10-15 years. Our washing machine is also older, probably about 8-10 years but it’s still working fine. My hubby seems to think we need to just get a whole new washer and dryer set that matches and is new. I, however, think we should just replace the dryer for now. And it’s obviously much cheaper to do so for right now. Curious to see what others think or have done?
